ISIS sparked outrage last night, through releasing a slick new propaganda video which appeared to threaten the life of a captive Russian pilot, shot down over Northern Syria yesterday.
The Kremlin has not verified if the video is real, but an expert in the US State Department told the Brute that it was “for sure captain Ramuse.”
The horror video, which followed ISIS’ pattern of using increasingly flashy Hollywood style effects to draw in young Islamists, also featured images from the latest assault on Aleppo, featuring prominently a squadron of ex-Iraqi army tanks descending upon the town’s centre.
Then, in a chilling homage to ISIS’ last airborne victim, the video quickly cuts to a man who appears to be Captain Ramuse locked in a metal cage.
Russia ignited fury this morning when it announced that it had launched a daring and successful rescue attempt for Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, parading Mr Assad on Russian television taking tea with Vladimir Putin.
